Shine Like Stars... Welcome
"Do everything without complaining or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like stars in the universe as you hold out the word of life..."
Philippians 2:14-16 (NIV)
The Bible is clear and distinct in its instructions on how to be blameless and pure, as the sons and daughters of God. We are to "shine like stars" as lights in the world by the way we live, in the midst of our generation (Philippians 2:15). Jesus instructs us in Matthew 5:16:
"Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven."
Our good works and our godly living reflect Christ to others, and bring glory to God.
Walking by Faith
A person who does not know Christ as his or her Savior may wonder how those of us who do know Him can love Someone we cannot see.
"For we walk by faith, not by sight."
-2 Corinthians 5:7
The simple truth is that God has revealed His Son to man in such a powerful way, that it produces "sight" in our hearts. We "see" Him, not with our eyes, but our hearts fully acknowledge His presence, His love, and His peace as He gently and lovingly beckons us to follow Him. And we follow Him, without visual proof, statues, images, or research books. We don't need the opinions of "scholars" or "experts" nor must we follow a "creed".
We come to know of God's character and His ways -- His mercy, grace, forgiveness, and His lovingkindness, through His Son, Jesus Christ, and the reading of God's Word, the Bible. This website exists to challenge you to grow deeper in the knowledge of the Word.
