Real Men Need Jesus

In today's society, "real men" are defined as being macho, action-hero types. However, God's view of a real man is quite different. A real man is someone who admits his need for a Savior and puts God first in his life.

"What a miserable man I am! Who will save me from this body that brings me death? I thank God for saving me through Jesus Christ our Lord!"

-Romans 7:24-25, The Holy Bible (New Century Version)

"Love the Lord your God. Love Him with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength."

-Mark 12:30, The Holy Bible (New Century Version)

Whether single or married, the Lord should take first priority in his life, family next, and his career and aspirations follow, for a real man knows that with his priorities in order, God will meet all his needs.

"But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you."

-Matthew 6:33, The Holy Bible (King James Version)

"But my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus."

-Philippians 4:19, The Holy Bible (King James Version)

Through an abiding relationship with Jesus Christ, a real man will bear fruits such as patience, compassion, love, inner peace, joy, humbleness, and self-control.

"I am the Vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in Me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without Me ye can do nothing."

-John 15:5, The Holy Bible (King James Version)

"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering (patience), gentleness, goodness faith, meekness, temperance (self control)...

-Galatians 5:22 (King James Version)

It's been said that if Jesus is your co-pilot, you're in the wrong seat. This means that a real man will surrender his life, his will, and his plans to the loving care of the Lord.

"Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths."

-Proverbs 3:5-6, The Holy Bible (King James Version)

Give God control of your life. Doing so will enable Him to lead, guide and direct you to an abundant life -- one of peace, inner strength, and lasting joy.

"I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly."

-John 10:10, The Holy Bible (King James Version)
