Our Need for Jesus with Rev. Michelle Dugan

On a Friday afternoon in June of 1999, I said goodbye to my friends and co-workers at the law firm where I had been working for many years and was about to take on a new career called motherhood. All was right with the world and I couldn't be happier. So off I went to our cute little house in the suburbs, wonderful husband and even man's best friend was waiting for me when I got there.

But then one month later, just days before I gave birth, my mother had died tragically. It was then that my perfect little world had come crashing down around me. Soon thereafter my marriage had started falling apart and I was left feeling naked and alone.

With the prompting of someone close to me, I had to make a choice. Do I try to deal with all that was happening to me on my own, or reach out to the Lord Jesus Christ for His direction? The choice was obvious. I needed Jesus in my life. It was the best decision I have ever made. So here I am almost five years later and I will tell you, the road at times was long and hard. But the Lord has never left me. He has sustained me, comforted me, given me strength I never knew I had and delivered me from an excrutiatingly painful time in my life.

So it is with my whole heart that I thank Jesus for saving me and I will honor and glorify His wonderful name all the days of my life.
