Real Men Need Jesus : It's Not a Sign of Weakness
When a man is in a state of distress or unable to produce results in his life, he may view this as being weak. But Paul teaches in the Bible that when he was at his weakest, God's power was at its strongest:
"And He said unto me. My grace is sufficient for thee: for My strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me."
-2 Corinthians 12:9
Once Paul recognized the power of God, he stopped focusing on the problem and welcomed this power resting on him.
Next, the word infirmities in the verse below is Biblically defined as a lack of strength, weakness, feebleness of health, or sickness of the soul.
"Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered."
-Romans 8:26
Men should be encouraged to know that, like the apostle, Paul, when they turn to Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, Himself, will make intercession for them in a way that cannot even be expressed with words.
When all of your best attempts to produce results fail, know that in your weakness, God's power will rest upon you, and you can depend upon the Holy Spirit to intercede for you.
