The Lord's Supper
"And He took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is My body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of Me. Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in My blood, which is shed for you." -Luke 22:19-20
Jesus instructs His disciples to break bread in memory of Him. The bread represents His body, and the cup represents His blood. When Christ shed His blood, He made atonement for us. Nothing nourishes the spirit more than participating in the Lord's Supper in remembrance of Him. The Bible teaches that this was done every week, according to Acts 20:7:
"And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread..."
The Bible also teaches that we are all servants of Christ. If for whatever reason you are not presently attending a church where the Bible and discipleship are taught, you do not have to be a pastor or a minister to break bread with your family and/or your brothers and sisters in Christ in remembrance of Jesus:
"And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers." -Acts 2:42
"For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till He come."
-1 Corinthians 11:26
